Automotive Technician

Join our experienced team as an Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic. In this role, you will diagnose and repair automotive systems to specifications including brake and hydraulic, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems. Responsibilities include: Explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals who may include employees and customers on an as-required basis Learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology Keeping store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur Maintaining an organized and neat work area and assisting other technicians in performing technical activities The Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic position requires an individual who is highly motivated and energetic.

ASE Certified Preferred
Knowledge of general maintenance services including oil changes, flushes, etc.
Experience with brakes, suspension, A/C, heating and alignments
Customer-focused attitude
*Must Have A Clear Driving Record
*Drug Test Screening Required

Auto Body Technician

Champion Chrysler Center offers a unique work environment allowing each employee to build upon their current skills and develop their technique over time.

Position Overview: The Auto Body\ Collision Repair Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with vehicle manufacturer factory standards.

The Body Shop Technician is responsible for repairing all assigned vehicles. Damaged vehicles should be restored to pre-accident condition, following the written repair order. The Body Technician plays a key role in delivering on our Collision promise of efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties

Perform repairs to steel, aluminum, fiberglass, composite, and plastic body panels.

  • Fill damaged areas of body panels and grind or sand smooth.
  • Prepare, prime, paint, and finish body, frame, and suspension parts.

Team Engagement & Problem-Solving, knows status of own vehicles and is open to others' feedback on getting and keeping vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery. Helps problem-solve on vehicles assigned to other team members.

Safe & Organized Workplace, consistently utilizes all required safety equipment and follows proper repair procedures. Adheres to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal. Keeps personal work area organized and returns tools, materials and equipment to designated areas.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

*Valid Driver's License Required

*Must meet drug screening approval guidelines

*Must supply own tools

*Technical Auto Body Degree preferred Or Previous Automotive Body Shop Technician experience
